Hello, My name is Ilyssa DaMota. I'm 19 years old and have lived in Alaska my whole life. I live with my mom and dad and two little brothers. My brothers are 17 and 1 years old. My littlest brother Kobe was a surprise baby! I had two dogs, a German shepherd named Jordan and a black lab named Snoopy. Very soon I am going to get a kitten with my boyfriend, named Stubby.
I am currently going to the University of Alaska Fairbanks to get my BA in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. In August 2026 I will be starting my junior year of college and I am so excited. I have always wanted to help people since I was young and becoming a Social Worker has been my dream career since I was 13. I have always loved working with little kids as well as I grew up in a big family with over 20 cousins. A fun fact about me is that I love to travel. I’ve been to Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona all within the last 3 years. The next places on my travel bucket list are Indiana and Tennessee. My favorite place to go of all was Las Vegas, Nevada. My best friend used to live there, and it was a nice and exciting place to visit.
